While to some these are just words uttered by one of the greatest orators and leaders in recorded history, to me they have served as a daily call to action as I worked to bring this idea that I drafted in my notebook on March 28, 2026 to the people it has been developed to benefit the most.

If you can stomach more than five minutes of any national news programming, you’re likely well aware that there is a concerted effort being made by individuals at various levels of our government system to at the very least, discourage participation in upcoming election cycles by disseminating misinformation about how future elections will be administered.

The results of these nefarious efforts are evident with 58% of all Americans and 75% of American adults under the age of 30 reporting having fear that they will be denied the opportunity to vote in the 2026 General Election.

Armed with my design skills, the knowledge that the misinformation campaigns are largely deceptions, and the belief that an effort to restore the confidence of the people with verified, fact-based information is needed I began to build the Know Your Voting Rights app.
